MEET THE DESIGN TEAM

LYNNE

Hi, my name is Lynne and I live in Central Scotland with my partner and three beautiful kids, Ryan 13, Sean 12 and my little princess Carrie 7.  I am a stay at home mum now as I had to give up work due to being diagnosed with Kidney disease a few years back.  This has had its advantages as I get to spend lots of time with the kids and also indulge myself into crafting.  My main love is card making and rubber stamping, its the colouring in that I find so relaxing!  I have always enjoyed crafting and also like to alter things, no-one dares to leave a empty box, tin or notebook lying about for too long or I will be off with it as my next project!

I only started blogging in 2009 ago and now I am hooked! I took over running Crafty Calender earlier this year and i am really proud to be on the new Elphine House Australia Design Team which produces Elisabeth Bells gorgeous stamps. I also love looking around all the crafty blogs out there for inspiration.  If i am not found at my craft desk i am most likely to be found trailing around craft shops looking for bargains!

CAROLINE

My name is Caroline and I am 41 years old. I am married to Paul and we have 4 children. Kirsty 22, Josh 16, Lewis 13 and Cody 4. I am also a Nana to Rhoan who is 18 months.

I have enjoyed many crafts in the past but found my real love in cardmaking a few years ago and I must say I do love my rubber stamps. I am a complete craftaholic and always thinking of what I can do next.

My name is Kim and I am 41 years old. I am wife to David and mum to Vicki, 20 and Jake, 15 and step mum to Jason, 20 and Daniel, 19. We also have 2 Jack Russells named Max and Tye and numerous tropical and marine fish. I only took up card making in August 2008 as a past time, following an accident and due to this having been left with a disability which now leaves me housebound most of the time. However in that time I seem to have become hooked, I love looking through the galleries of other peoples work admiring all the talent.

KATINA

I love making handmade cards and my dream is to be able to do it for a living. I am married to Dave and Mum to Andrew, Rachel and David. I am also Nanny to two beautiful girls, Molly and Lucy. I live in Liverpool and I am a primary school teacher.

JOANNE

I am a 42 year old mum to 2 daughters aged 18 and 10.  I have been married to a very supportive husband for 22 years.  I have always crafted in one way or another, sewing, knitting, cross-stitching.  12 years ago I developed a condition which severly affects my mobility and I am housebound most of the time.  I was introduced to card making by chance 9 years ago, originally making cross-stitched cards to sell to help my sister with some fundraising.  This then developed into papercrafting, originally decoupage, which I am still a big fan of, and more recently rubber stamping and cd crafting.  I now sell my cards to raise money for a local charity and I truly would be lost without this fantastic hobby, it is such a good way to occupy my time.  I have only had my own blog since November last year after being inspired by a fellow member of Joanna Sheen's craft forum.  I'm enjoying entering lots of different challenges, and am over the moon to have been invited to join the design team at Crafty Calendar Challenge, this will be a new adventure for me.

TAMMY

Hi, My name is Tammy.  I live in Colorado with my wonderful hubby and our two furbabies!!  I have been passionate about arts and craft my whole life.  I started stamping & card making a couple of years ago and now I am completely hooked!!  I absolutely love to color so this is the perfect craft for me!! 

I worked in the Travel industry for 19 years.  The first 8 years I worked as an leisure travel agent.  Air, hotels, cars, cruises, trains, tours...you name it I booked it!! I even booked a couple of safaris!  Then the last 11 years I worked as a government contractor and arranged Domestic and International corporate travel!  

Now I love to stay close to home.  We enjoy cross country skiing, camping & hiking ...anything outdoors and anything to keep us healthy!  

CLAUDIA

My name is Claudia and I was born in 1974. I'm married to Michael, my best friend, and we have a little daughter, her name is Sophie. She was born in May 2010.

We live in Solingen (Germany), a town next to Cologne and Düsseldorf. Some of you may know Solingen from your knives, a lot of them are made here.

I have enjoyed crafting a lot of different things the whole of my life but since summer 2011 I started stamping and colouring on my cards. And I really love it. Can't get enough of it!

LAURA

Hi, I'm Laura, I am 28 years old and I am from Lancashire in England! It does have a tendency to rain somewhat so an indoor hobby is not a bad idea. In my spare time, chances are I will be sat in my craft room or colouring my images whilst watching my favourite TV programmes! My husband definitely wishes I had a cheaper hobby! But I think it is worth every penny!

I am married to my wonderful husband Matt, who I met through university/church. One of things we love to do together is musical theatre and we can often be found treading the boards of our local theatre. Singing is my other big love and in a dream world I would be starring on broadway! And making cards at the same time!

Starting my blog was one of the best things I have done, it has opened up a whole new world of crafting! I am so excited to be a part of the Craft Calendar team and to be able to share my love of crafting with likeminded people! See you at the next challenge!
